From Tony…

“Dear family and friends and friends of family and friends,

At the beginning of March I have the opportunity to do something most skiers only dream of… helicopter ski in the backcountry of Alaska. I can remember as a kid, after falling in love with powder skiing, having conversations with my dad about just such a trip (albeit the Canadian backcountry as Alaska was still a frontier), but life — as many of you know— had other ideas, and things went in a bit of a different direction. Just a bit.

Fast-forward 30+ years and I’m skiing again, and on the edge of something truly spectacular, something that even now has my head spinning in a whirl of wonder and gratitude. This is the skiing trip of a lifetime, yes, but as a quadriplegic skier it is something else entirely — it’s heading into uncharted territory without precedence or example, and the opportunity to push the boundaries of what was thought possible for disabled skiing.

And this is where you come into this Alaskan adventure…

Through the generous support and faith of the High Fives Foundation, my team has been financially covered for the most important part of this trip, but I could still use additional help to get me and my team one more flying day in the backcountry, as well as some much-needed quadriplegic traveling assistance.

The funny thing is, this is the most challenging part of the whole Alaskan dream, asking for additional help. But to make this easier, I’m using an online crowdfunding platform called RallyMe. The idea is that athletes and teams can reach out to a large circle of their friends, family, friends of family, friends of friends, and fans and ask everyone for a small amount of help. With that said, can you help me get my Alaskan backcountry heli-skiing Rally rolling?

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. And big mahalos for any support you care to give!

Much love and aloha,
