Jonny Klemchuk | Clifton Park, NY

Minister of Stoke | Ski Enthusiast

Jonny was born in Providence, RI, and his father made the mistake of taking him to his first mountain at the ripe age of three. Growing up, he would relish trips, during the school year, to return with a goggle tan and the required sick note. Since then, he has competed at a few stops on both the Subaru Freeride and Freeskiing World Tours. After that, Jonny took to traveling the known skiing world in search of great snow and even better friends. Since hearing Roy’s story, Jonny has taken the mission of the High Fives Foundation to heart because a life-altering injury can happen to anyone at any time. Coupled with what the BASICS series aims to teach, Jonny is excited to educate the next group of skiers and riders and help them make better choices in the mountains.

Mike Krupka | Vail, CO

Managing Director Bain Capital

I joined the Board of Trustees because I saw the importance of the work High Fives was doing for injured athletes, and the dedication that the whole High Fives team put into improving the lives of these athletes. Our family has been a supporter for a number of years, and then my 81 year old father was in a ski accident in February 2017, and was paralyzed. That accident even deepened my commitment to helping other athletes.

Ann Cazalot | Reno, NV

Entrepreneur, Yoga/Pilates Instructor, Board Member of Six Talents Foundation

Yoga and I first found each other in NYC. I was working a thankless job where image and connections mattered most. My practice allowed me to become grounded and calmed in a city that never stops moving. When I moved to London in 2007 with my husband, I felt I had lost my identity. Unable to work and having only a few friends, yoga lead the way to happiness. My practice allowed me to be present and release my former life. It also provided me with a wonderful community and fantastic friends. I decided it was time to give back to myself and my community. I became a certified yoga teacher in2009 through TriYoga, London. Upon returning to NYC in 2010, I furthered my learnings with another 200 hour training at Sonic Yoga and also became certified in pre and post natal yoga. In 2015, my husband, twins and I moved to Reno only knowing a few people. My first yoga class in town again proved how beautiful, inviting and supportive the yoga community can be. When I teach, it is not to impress. It is to have a true sense of connection but most importantly, it is to leave with a smile on one’s face.
