MICHAEL SCHWARZ | CHESTER, VT

Michael suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury on March 23, 2009 while competing at the U.S. Open Quarterpipe Championships in Stratton, VT. After spending nearly a year in the hospital relearning day-to-day skills, he knew life would be different. Michael currently has difficulty with foot drop, lower extremity spasticity, balance and vision. Through all this, he continues to work hard and dedicate 100% of his time toward his goal of walking without the assistance of a walker, canes or braces. With the High Fives Foundation providing specialty adaptive equipment, we are excited to see this inspiring athlete reach his goal!
