Our annual celebration of prosperity and philanthropy took place on Thursday, December 16th, 2021. Take a peek at the highlights!
What better way to conclude a bright year as a foundation than an evening together, at last, with our supportive Ohana. It was because of you— our incredible donors, rockstar #HighFivesAthletes, and close friends—that the 2021 Silver Tie Gala shined brighter than we could have imagined. Together we witnessed unseen videos of the year’s many achievements and listened to stories of unrelenting perseverance from our Athletes.
Your response was reflective of your love for the work that we do, as you lifted your paddles to symbolize our collective effort to raise the bar and expand what is possible for those who face life-changing injuries in 2022.
Take a look at some of the incredible things we’ve accomplished together in 2021.

28 #HighFivesAthletes from across the country gathered in the same room for the first time ever. Togetherness offered new connections for #HighFivesAthletes and Veterans of different sports, home states, and a diversity in adaptive modalities and skill levels. You witnessed our impressions of the “Five Pillars of Sport” (mountain biking, snow sports, surfing, fly fishing, & motor-fed dirt sports), seeing and touching the equipment that makes it all possible. We closed out the night holding hands in Hawaiian Prayer; sung by Hawaiian brother and father of our #HighFivesAthlete of the Year, Shelby Estocado, to symbolize the Ohana spirit that inspires our actions.
