The 7th Annual US Open Adaptive Surfing Championships took place from September 5th to 8th on the north side of the Oceanside Pier, marking the final stop on the 2024 Adaptive Association of Surfing Professionals (AASP) Championship Tour. The High Fives Foundation was proud to be the hosting sponsor, with multiple athletes from our community showcasing their incredible skills and winning in their respective divisions.
The event was a success, thanks to the dedication of volunteers, sponsors, competitors, and watermen. Congratulations to all the surfers, and thank you to everyone who helped make it an unforgettable experience. The full 2024 World Tour stops included Australian Pro Adaptive Surfing Championships, Hawaii Adaptive Surfing Championships, Costa Rica Open Pro of Adaptive Surfing, and the US Open Adaptive Surfing Championships.
In memory of athlete, Bigfoot, Sean Lewis. He was bigger than life and like his name was BIG heart, aloha spirit, and bringing energy to every room. He meant a lot to the Ohana.
