High Fives Foundation NAMED “2017 TOP-RATED NONPROFIT” by GreatNonprofits

Award based on Outstanding Online Reviews

We Have been named a “2017 Top-Rated Nonprofit” by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews of charities and nonprofits.

High Fives provides injured mountain action sports athletes grant funding nation wide.

“We are honored to be named a 2017 Top-Rated Nonprofit,” says Becca Lefanowicz, operations and network marketer for the High Fives Foundation. We are proud of our accomplishments this year, including our Military to the Mountains program service and accomplishments happening in the CR Johnson Healing Center.

The Top-Rated Nonprofit Award is the based on the rating and number of reviews that High Fives received from volunteers, donors and aid recipients. “I have an L1 fracture and use a wheelchair. After my accident, it felt my life was over. Everything I loved was taken away from me. I know this sounds dramatic, but I couldn’t imagine living without access to the wilderness and mountains. I learned about High Fives through an internet search. Their website immediately filled me with stoke. It was amazing to watch adaptive athletes like me skiing, surfing, mountain biking, fishing and having a really good time. High Fives supported me financially for two years after my injury: covering expensive pilates-based physical therapy and equipment costs. Thanks to High Fives, I’ve made huge gains in my recovery, and can walk with crutches and braces for short distances. I also got strong enough to do triathlons. Recently, High Fives invited me on a surf trip with seven other adaptive athletes. It was an amazing experience. High Fives creates the excitement, the community, and the support athletes need after a traumatic, life-changing injury like a spinal cord fracture.”

“High Fives is a great example of a nonprofit making a real difference in their community,” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits, “Their award is well-deserved recognition not only of their work, but the tremendous support they receive, as shown by the many outstanding reviews they have received from people who have direct experience working with High Fives.”

GreatNonprofits is the leading website where people share stories about their personal experiences on more than 1.2 million charities and nonprofits. The GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Awards are the only awards for nonprofits determined by those who have direct experience with the charities – as donors, volunteers and recipients of aid.
