Jeff Hemenger
Jeff ‘s injury occurred while serving as a combat medic in Iraq. He suffered injuries that led to a below knee amputation, a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and has lost 50% of his vision in both eyes. None of these injuries have slowed him down from living life to its fullest, whether it be playing hockey or tearing down the slopes on a ski bike. Jeff has tried many adaptive sports but has become passionate about ski biking. His goals are to get ski biking accepted as an adaptive sport, become an instructor and to promote competition in the sport. With the help of the High Fives Foundation, Jeff is one step closer to his dream.
