A Day of Golf, Generosity, and Gratitude in Vail, Colorado
On behalf of the 815 High Fives Athletes we serve, thank you to everyone who joined us for the Mile High Classic in Vail, Colorado! Despite chilly rain and wind, your generosity and community spirit made the day truly special. Thanks to your support, we continue to help athletes achieve their recovery goals.
This year’s tournament was packed with excitement, featuring creative twists on 9 different contest holes. It was a fun-filled day of competition and camaraderie, made even better by the incredible energy of our participants.
Event Highlights
The Ski Boot Long Drive sponsored by Kind Design at Hole 1 challenged golfers to swing while wearing ski boots—quite a sight to see! Meanwhile, at Hole 2 sponsored by Xen Technology Group, players could launch their ball from a Golf Ball Cannon, adding a unique thrill to the course.
Hole 12 featured the Stys Hospitality Initiative Hole-in-Two Challenge with Golf Pro “Big Ant” taking the first shot, leaving golfers to finish the play for a chance to win big. And over at Hole 17 sponsored by Alpine Bank, competitors had the opportunity to win $25,000 in the Hole-in-One Challenge from 147 yards.
At the Kokopelli Chipping Contest, players tried their luck by chipping a ball into a boat for a prize. The competition was fierce, and the winner was announced during the awards ceremony at the Clubhouse.
High Five!
We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated, donated, and supported the Mile High Classic. Your contributions make a lasting impact on High Fives Athletes and their recovery journeys. Thank you for making this event not only a success but an absolute blast!
A Special Thank You from Athlete, Brian Biggs.
Rolling around on the golf course — meeting all walks of life that came together for one day to support something larger than themselves — showed me how much love and support is in this new family that I’ve joined. Being a part of this community gives me hope and excitement for what the future will bring.
