Brian Faenza
Brian was speedflying in Southern California when his life changed in an instant. During a flight, he attempted a swoop landing-a maneuver where the pilot dives and then skims across the ground at high speed. He began his diving turn several hundred feet above the landing zone. Mid-turn, his attention was briefly drawn to an obstacle he was trying to avoid. In that moment, he lost awareness of his altitude. When he completed the turn and accelerated to maximum speed, he realized he was only about 100 feet above the ground-too low for his wing to recover and level out. Seconds later, he impacted the ground at full speed. From the moment he initiated the diving trun to the moment of impace, the entire sequence lasted roughly four seconds.

“Having a pedal assist e bike is exactly the adaptive equipment I need to return to the trails. Long rides will be good for my mind and spirit. Physically it will allow me to focus on leg strengthening and endurance.“
