April 2026 carried forward the momentum of the season with powerful community connection, athlete progression, and meaningful storytelling across the High Fives Foundation network. The month closed with the release and celebration of Roy Tuscany’s Alive Day, marking 20 years since his life-changing injury and highlighting the movement that has grown from it. Athletes continued advancing their journeys through Empowerment Grant Cycle 1 of 2026, unlocking access to resources, training, and support to return to the sports they love. On snow, the energy stayed high with continued winter programming and recaps like the Retro Shred and Winter Park Mini Ski Camp, where athletes built confidence, community, and skill progression in mountain environments. Off the hill, Return to Dirt reached a national audience as High Fives athletes were featured on TV, expanding awareness of adaptive action sports and recovery stories. Together, these moments reflect a month defined by legacy, visibility, and the continued expansion of what’s possible after life-changing injuries.
As we celebrate these milestones, we look forward to the journey ahead, continuing to uplift, support, and champion our athletes every step of the way.
