From life on the road to recovery after life-changing injuries, High Fives Foundation and Ozlo are coming together to help athletes prioritize one of the most essential parts of health and performance…sleep.
For High Fives Foundation Founder and CEO Roy Tuscany, recovery has always been personal. On April 29, 2006, Roy’s life changed forever when a ski jump resulted in a devastating spinal cord injury. What followed was a journey of rehabilitation, determination, community support, and ultimately, a return to the sport he loved.

That experience led Roy to establish the High Fives Foundation in 2009, creating a national nonprofit dedicated to preventing life-changing injuries and providing resources and hope when they happen.

Nearly two decades after his injury, Roy continues to champion the importance of recovery, both physically and mentally. And while the High Fives Foundation is known for helping adaptive athletes return to skiing, biking, surfing, and other outdoor adventures, recovery involves much more than getting back to sports. It also happens when the adventure ends, the body rests, and the mind has an opportunity to recharge. That’s where Ozlo comes in.
Ozlo’s mission is to make better sleep accessible to everyone through innovative, ultra-comfortable Sleepbuds designed to reduce nighttime disruptions, improve sleep quality, and support overall health and well-being.
Whether traveling across the country for adaptive sports camps, attending and hosting events, or navigating the demands of everyday life, quality sleep can be difficult to come by. For Roy, whose work with High Fives takes him to communities across the United States, traveling nearly 100 days a year, maintaining healthy sleep habits is an important part of staying energized, focused, and ready for whatever comes next.

“With High Fives operating in multiple locations across the United States, travel can take a toll on the body and sleep schedules,” said Roy Tuscany, Founder and CEO of the High Fives Foundation. “Having access to a sleeping solution that provides the opportunity to find rest and return to natural sleep cycles is a game changer. This partnership means so much to me personally and professionally, as we all know the importance of sleep and how we are giving that back to our community.”

Both organizations believe that improving quality of life starts with addressing fundamental needs and creating solutions that help people move forward. For High Fives, that means empowering athletes through adaptive equipment, rehabilitation resources, and opportunities to return to the activities they love. For Ozlo, it means helping people experience better sleep, night after night.
As High Fives continues to expand its reach across the country, partnerships like this help reinforce an essential message…Recovery isn’t just about getting back to what you love. It’s about taking care of yourself along the way.
