While biking by himself in Little Cottonwood Canyon, UT, Adam sustained a T4 SCI from a crash. He rolled up onto a large rock with a drop off the other side onto a small landing. His front tire missed the landing, sending him over the bars and hitting his head. He broke his C4 and T4, 4 ribs, and collapsed his left lung. Another group of mountain bikers were able to call for paramedics and he was rushed to the ER.
