Alexander Odom
While snowboarding with family at a local ski resort, Alexander had a bad landing on an icy day that resulted in a fractured C5 vertebra. He was airlifted for emergency care and underwent both posterior and anterior spinal fusion surgeries, followed by a stay in the ICU and intensive inpatient rehabilitation. The injury resulted in quadriplegia, though he retains some arm function and continues to regain strength and mobility in his upper body.
