Blair Jones
Blair was injured while doing what he loves most to do, riding and racing his Mountain Bike. Blair was out enjoying a super rad day of riding with some good buddies. On this particular day they were filming for a local free ride/ race mtn bike film. Getting ready to capture the last few final shots for the day, his injury came about. Coming off a ladder bridge gapping over a Small cat track, Blair went a little too big and hit the ground a little hard. He landed close the bottom of the steep transition.
“Needless to say I fell along way and compressed hard into my bike. This is when my life on wheels began. I sustained a T8 complete Spinal Cord injury (SCI). Over and above the SCI injury, I also sustained as grade 3 concussion, brain swelling and bleeding. Thankful to have been wearing the proper PPE, I came away from the crash in relatively good shape , physically and mentally. Skipping leg day is actually pretty rad.”
“Don’t let an injury get the best of you, get the best of it!”
