On May 23, 2015, Cameron Zick’s hiking trip ended when he slipped off a rock, fell headfirst into the snow, and broke his neck. His accident is classified as an incomplete quadriplegic spinal cord injury – burst C6 fracture, C5 & C7 vertebrae compressed.

Since day one, while lying paralyzed in an ICU bed, Cameron reiterated his recovery goal – “I plan to conquer my ultimate goal with my family and friends in 2017: to climb Mt. Sneffels and stand on that rock again.”

“Fall in love with the process of being great. Because the only thing in life we can control is our own current response to present-day life happenings.”
