Dennis was injured in a car accident 2018, where he was thrown 100 ft out of the front windshield. He was flown by helicopter to the Medical Center of the Rockies(MCR) in Loveland, CO, where he then discovered he had a T-7 spinal cord injury. Here, Dennis spent 21 days in the ICU. Shortly after leaving the ICU, he went to Craig Hospital in Englewood, CO, to start his rehab and begin a new life as a paraplegic.
