Kevin McKenna
Kevin was injured over Labor Day weekend in 1995 at the age of 16 during an ATV accident while spending the summer at a cottage with friends. After an evening celebrating the end of summer, he joined a friend for a ride on a four-wheeler and later took over driving on the way back. A combination of unsafe riding conditions and decisions caused the ATV to roll, leaving him with multiple injuries and requiring an airlift to a trauma center. The accident resulted in a T4-T5 spinal cord injury and paraplegia, followed by several months of hospitalization and rehab as he learned to navigate life with a permanent disability.
