Ryan was mountain biking by himself on a trail one evening in San Diego. As the sun began to set, he knew that he had to move quickly, so he took a shorter route that happened to have a small feature at the end. C4-C7 broke with a burst at C5 as a result of being tossed over the handlebars.  After several failed attempts using his Apple Watch, he was finally able to call 911 via Siri.
