Tim Sorensen
Tim was injured while snowboarding in the backcountry when he was caught in a large slab avalanche during the third descent of the day. The slide carried him downhill through trees and partially buried him before help could arrive. After spending six hours on the snow, he was rescued and airlifted to the hospital, where the trauma from the accident ultimately led to a through-knee leg amputation.
