B.A.S.I.C.S. Program Service – Camp Two (Day Three)

Day Three of the B.A.S.I.C.S. Program Service – Camp Two wrapped up today with sunshine and smiles for miles as campers discovered the effective use of an edge through ski race training. Demo race skis were involved as everyone discussed the proper “tuck” technique and line choice amongst other vital body-mechanics necessary to having successful race career.

Former Sugar Bowl Ski Team member and current Freeride World Tour Competitor – Connery Lundin lent his race expertise as did guest freestyle skier Garrett Russell. The “Coin-Op” race course was pushed to its limits as everyone raced head to head in heated battles to hold down bragging rights. It was great to see guests Mike Rogge (Powder Magazine) and Amie Engerbretson (Pro Skier) join us on this fantastic wrap up to the B.A.S.I.C.S. Camp Two!

Since its the Pain McShlonkey Classic this weekend, everyone put on their best “Shane Face”

Thank you very much to Sid Crockett and the Squaw Valley Race Crew for rolling out the red carpet. Also, thank you to Roy Hage in the Squaw Valley Demo Center for gearing everyone up. We really appreciate it!
