On Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, something special happened in Boston.
High Fives Foundation gathered with athletes, supporters, friends, and new faces at The Capital Grille for an evening rooted in community and conversation and Boston showed up. With 65 attendees, 5 remarkable athletes, and an incredible $62,000 raised, the night was nothing short of powerful.

A Community That Shows Up
The energy in the room was undeniable from the moment guests arrived. There was warmth. There was curiosity. There was connection.
As High Fives athlete Max Lyman shared during the evening, “The first step is showing up.”
And every person in that room embodied that sentiment, showing up not only for the mission, but for one another, and for the journey of adaptive athletes rebuilding their lives after life-changing injuries.
Stories That Inspire, Conversations That Matter
Throughout the night, guests heard firsthand from athletes who shared their stories of resilience, hope, and rediscovered independence. Their words served as powerful reminders of why High Fives Foundation exists…to create opportunities, restore possibility, and uplift individuals as they navigate new chapters in their lives.
Founder Roy Tuscany also spoke about the evolving needs of adaptive athletes nationwide and how nights like this deepen the roots of our community, creating connections that last far beyond a single event.
A Dinner That Brought Everyone Together
A heartfelt thank you goes to The Capital Grille for hosting us with unmatched hospitality. Their incredible food, drinks, and warm atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for meaningful conversations, laughter, and moments of true camaraderie.

A Night That Moves the Mission Forward
Because of the generosity of our Boston community, High Fives Foundation will be able to provide more grants, more equipment, and more opportunities for athletes to return to the trails, slopes, water, and community they love.
Every dollar raised, every conversation shared, and every story told brought us closer to expanding what is possible for individuals with life-changing injuries.
Welcome to the Ohana
Boston, thank you. Your kindness, curiosity, and commitment continue to push our mission forward. You remind us that community is not just a word — it’s a feeling, a choice, and a powerful force for good.
We left the night inspired. Recharged. And deeply grateful.
What a night, Boston. Until next time — high five.
