High Fives Hangouts – Bear Creek Lake Park Handcycle and BBQ

August 4, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

High Fives is expanding!

Through a series of events, High Fives hopes to connect like-minded individuals to build a community of support, fun, and inclusivity.

Our goal is to bring together the broader community of individuals who have been impacted by life-changing injuries. This could include but is not limited to individuals who have been exposed to a life-changing injury; friends, family, caregivers, practitioners, and anyone who would like to learn more and be involved.

So if you are interested, let’s hang out!

DETAILS

The next High Fives Hangout will be located at Bear Creek Lake Park, specifically at the ‘Pelican Point Picnic Area’ on Sunday, August 4, from 2-5pm. The ‘Pelican Point Picnic Area’ is 2 miles deep in the park, basically where the road ends. We will be meeting at the Pelican Point campsite, so keep an eye out for the High Fives popup tent. Join us for a day taking turns around the park with provided handcycles and bring a dish to share for the potluck. Athletes and Adaptive Adventures crew will be there providing introductory lessons for those who need it. #highfivesathlete Justin Pines will be there hosting the event as we grill, chill, ride, and enjoy the good weather! This event was made possible by Adaptive Adventures.

Does this change other aspects of the High Fives Foundation?

No, all other HFF programming is still in place, including our empowerment grants, adaptive camps, and the B.A.S.I.C.S. initiative.
