A Message From Pete Stetina
While we had to postpone the Stetina’s Paydirt due to COVID, I still wanted to do something with our charitable partner, High Fives Foundation. It’s because of them I started this event in the first place! High Fives and I have brainstormed together and our idea has become a challenge I am proud of….What’s BIGGER than Mt Everest? …Mauna Kea. While not higher elevation, it’s technically the biggest mountain in the world, rising 33,500 ft from the ocean floor. The challenge is to collectively summit Mauna Kea TOGETHER (5x) on July 18th and raise funds for High Fives. (*167,500 ft)
The Challenge

2. The more you climb = the more raffle entries you will have
(every 1,000 vert = 1 raffle entry)
3. The more you pledge = the more raffle entries you will have
(every $100 = 1 raffle entry)

5. On July 18th, everyone logs their ride on STRAVA, anywhere in the world, to help generate awareness and funds for the High Fives Foundation. We draw winners July 21, so keep your inbox refreshing!

The Cause
The High Fives Foundation is an extraordinary group because they choose people first! The Founder is also the CEO which allows a first person connection to each individual served. They create stoke and community during tough times and show that you can move past this injury. It might not be the same, BUT it can still be awesome!
The High Fives Non-Profit Foundation focuses on preventing life-changing injuries and provides resources and hope if they happen. The Foundation has expanded to help 314 athletes and veterans from 38 states since its inception in 2009.
