High Fives Foundation and PistenBully Partnership Continues to Grow at Adaptive Operator Camp

High Fives Foundation athletes recently traveled to Banff, Alberta, for the PistenBully Adaptive Operator Camp at Sunshine Village, continuing a partnership that is creating new opportunities for adaptive athletes in the mountains.

The camp provided hands-on experiences with PistenBully snow grooming equipment, giving athletes a behind-the-scenes look at the operations that help keep ski resorts running. Participants spent time learning from industry professionals, exploring career pathways, and gaining valuable skills in a unique mountain environment.

The growing partnership between High Fives Foundation and PistenBully continues to expand opportunities for athletes recovering from life-changing injuries by creating access to education, employment experiences, and meaningful connections within the outdoor industry.

A huge thank you to the teams at PistenBully and Sunshine Village for their commitment to inclusion and helping athletes discover new ways to stay connected to the mountain community.

“The Adaptive Operator Camp was one of the most exciting and beneficial experiences I have ever done.  After becoming disabled, certain doors close and it can be challenging trying to figure out what to do next.  But when some doors close, others can be opened, and that’s what I discovered with this camp.  I was honored to have been chosen to attend. It gave me an opportunity to discover something new to me and unique.  It offered me insight into how I could be a contribution to my community and showed me there are many different options in this world to find purpose.  I enjoyed my time at Sunshine Village immensely and it was great connecting with other people who were searching for the next chapter in their lives as well.I can’t say enough good things about this camp!”
