Why We Climb
Every step represents more than exercise. It represents the courage of the 343 firefighters who gave their lives responding to the attacks on September 11, 2001, along with the thousands of innocent lives that were lost that day.
For the sixth consecutive year, our community will gather to remember their sacrifice while standing together in support of one another. Whether you climb all 110 flights or simply come to cheer others on, your presence helps ensure we never forget.
Supporting Mental Health in Our Community
The Truckee 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is proud to partner with the High Fives Foundation to raise funds for local mental health support.
Thanks to the generosity of participants and donors, 100% of the money raised goes directly toward helping individuals access mental health resources through the High Fives Foundation. These funds help provide support for people in our community who are facing mental health challenges and need access to care.
