Before the start of the Barracuda Championship, PGA pros Blaine Hale Jr. and Raul Pereda visited the High Fives Foundation facility, taking the opportunity to see the impact of their support firsthand. Their visit showcased the invaluable contributions made by the Barracuda Championship, particularly through their sponsorship of the Barracuda Hydro Therapy Room. Watch the PGA tour visit video here.
Located at the High Fives Foundation Headquarters in Truckee, CA, just under 5 miles from the Old Greenwood Course (home of the Barracuda Championship), the Barracuda Hydro Therapy Room is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to supporting the recovery of adaptive athletes. This all-inclusive, ADA-accessible recovery space is available at no cost to athletes and features a cold plunge, red light sauna, and an inspiring mural by artist Skye Walker. Custom laser-printed signage also highlights the Barracuda Championship’s generous sponsorship.
Jeff Andrews, a dedicated High Fives athlete, has been reaping the benefits of this facility. Jeff, who trains rigorously five to six days a week, utilizes the Hydro Therapy Room two to three times a week to aid his recovery. He describes the room as an “awesome recovery technique,” helping him manage inflammation and support his intense workout regimen.
Thank you, Barracuda Championship, for your incredible generosity and partnership. We look forward to continuing this journey together and exploring future opportunities to make an even greater impact!
