Lonie Paxton Joins High Fives Foundation Board of Trustees

The High Fives Foundation is proud to announce that Lonie Paxton, a distinguished entrepreneur and three-time Super Bowl champion, has joined the Board of Trustees. Lonie’s desire to serve on the Board stems from his lifelong dedication to sports, philanthropy, and adaptive athleticism, making him a perfect fit for the Foundation’s mission.

Lonie Paxton’s journey to becoming a part of the High Fives family is one deeply rooted in personal experience and a commitment to giving back. In the early 2000s, a snowboarding accident left one of Lonie’s close high school friends with a life-changing spinal cord injury. This event profoundly impacted Lonie, motivating him to support others facing similar challenges. In 2003, Lonie co-founded the Active Force Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to designing and donating specialized sports equipment to athletes and veterans with physical challenges. This work led to his first encounter with Roy Tuscany, the founder of the High Fives Foundation, during an adaptive bike race organized by Active Force.

Beyond his NFL career, where he earned three Super Bowl rings as a long snapper for the New England Patriots, Lonie has made significant contributions to the world of sports marketing. His role at GoPro allowed him to merge his love for sports with innovative marketing strategies, and his connection with Red Bull, formed during his early action sports days, played a pivotal role in his career. Lonie’s ability to bring together brands, athletes, and experiences reflects his dynamic approach to sports and business.

“Sports have always been a part of my life, whether on the football field, in the water, snow and dirt, or behind the scenes in sports marketing. Joining the High Fives Foundation Board of Trustees is a tremendous opportunity for me to share my experiences with others who are overcoming their own challenges. I’m honored to serve and shine a different light on the incredible work being done here.”
