Team Carson to support Kelly O’Keefe’s ride across America

Thank you for visiting the Team Carson High Fives Across America page.

In June of 2019, PRICE BURLINGTON completed a 3,500-mile bike ride across the country in memory of his son CARSON BURLINGTON to benefit the high fives non-profit foundation to help people that have encountered life alternating injuries. Price was supported by his wife Joretta in their Team Carson/High Fives Across America motorhome.

Price and Joretta are currently supporting another fellow cyclist from their town of Lodi, CA, Kelly O’Keefe, in his effort to ride across the U.S., by donating the use of their motorhome. Kelly will be riding over 3,600 miles from San Francisco, CA to Savannah, GA to benefit several charities, including the High Fives Foundation through Team Carson. Our Story

We became acquainted with High Fives just after our oldest son, Carson, was killed in a single car accident. Carson was 29. We were looking for a charity to team up with to direct memorial donations, and more importantly, to honor Carson and keep his spirit alive. Carson’s passion in life was snowboarding and helping others. When Carson’s best friend, Travis, was injured in a climbing accident, and become a quadriplegic as a result, Carson was the first to fly to New Orleans to be by his side. When we heard about High Fives and how they help people with life altering injuries, we knew we had a match. We didn’t want this to be just one-time thing. We wanted to develop on going events and ways to grow Carson’s impact in the world.
