Truckee’s 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb Returns for 2025

Each step is a tribute. Each breath honors a hero. Donate Here.

On the morning of September 11, 2025, the High Fives Foundation invites the Truckee-Tahoe community to unite in remembrance and resilience. From 6 AM to 11 AM, participants will gather behind Tahoe Mountain Realty to take on the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb—a challenge to ascend and descend the staircase 32 times, equivalent to 110 flights, mirroring the height of the Twin Towers.

The event honors the 343 firefighters who sacrificed their lives that day, as well as the thousands of innocent lives lost in the tragic events of 9/11. This annual climb is not only a physical challenge, but a powerful opportunity to reflect, reconnect, and rally behind a common cause: supporting mental health in our community.

Funds raised from the event will go directly toward providing mental health resources for first responders and those impacted by trauma in the Truckee-Tahoe region.
