High Fives Non-Profit Foundation and CHARITYSMITH will present the Squaw Valley Prom, on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at 8 p.m. The event will take place at Squaw Valley’s Olympic House, in Olympic Valley, Calif. The 12th Annual prom is themed a Lu’Au with guests Hula-ing their way through the night.
The Squaw Valley Prom is a notoriously high-energy event attracting 1,100 partygoers grooving to the sounds of San Diego based electro hiphop soul collective Vokab Kompany.
Tickets for the premier High Fives Foundation event of the season will be on sale through February 20 or until they sell out at www.squawvalleyprom.com for $100 per couple and $200 stag (single). Only 1,100 tickets are available!
“This is another way we’re able to change the lives of injured mountain action sports athletes through fun, non-traditional fundraising events,” said High Fives Executive Director Roy Tuscany. “We work to make these events accentuate the ‘fun’ in fundraising.”
This year’s Squaw Valley Prom will feature world-class musical performers, Elevated Image photo booth, video and entertainment from GoPro as well as drink specials from Ninkasi Brewing, Jack Daniels Whiskey, Jack Daniels Fire, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Coors Light and Red Bull.
Vokab Kompany is the high energy linguistic duo of Rob Hurt and Burke Baby. The two MC’s are accompanied by a four-piece band to bring sounds of funk and rap layered with creative electro-beats to the Squaw Valley “O” House. DJ Silver Boombox Thief, Mary Poppin’ and DJ Carlo will all be spinning tracks accompanying the “Hula” theme.
“This year marks 12 consecutive years of throwing the best party in Squaw Valley,” said CHARITYSMITH and Squaw Valley Prom Founder, Brooks Rohlen. “We look forward to seeing everyone shining bright and having the time of their lives with the ‘Lu’au’ theme.”
This event has grown tremendously providing 12 years of amazing fun in the name of benevolence for the non-profit world. TheHigh Fives Foundation and CHARITYSMITH invite anyone within reach of Tahoe to find their Hula skirts and wear them to the Squaw Valley Prom.
