The 2nd Annual High Five the Hill | Steamboat ski camp brought the stoke back to Colorado from January 18–23, 2026, welcoming 11 High Fives athletes for a week of turns, progression, and community in Steamboat Springs.

Set against Steamboat’s legendary terrain and supportive mountain culture, the camp focused on building confidence, skill development, and shared experiences on snow. From first tracks to personal breakthroughs, athletes spent their days doing what they love most—sliding on snow, surrounded by people who get it.
A huge thank-you goes out to Steamboat Adaptive Recreational Sports (STARS) for their partnership, expertise, and on-the-ground support that helped make this camp such a success. Their commitment to access and adaptive sport continues to open doors for athletes in meaningful, lasting ways.

Athletes summed up the week best in their own words:

#HighFivesAthlete Ronnie Mondragon shared,
“Three awesome days on the mountain. Thank you High Fives Foundation for the stoke!”
#HighFivesAthlete Susan Winston reflected on the deeper impact of the experience,
“Access, support, feeling like I belong in spaces. The ability to move, to slide, to experience the mountains. Enjoying it all with other adaptive athletes in a place with awesome access and surrounded by support. With ski camp sponsored by High Fives Foundation creating opportunity, safe to say I had a blast at ski camp last week. Thanks to High Fives for everything!”

#HighFivesAthlete Ryan Porteous added,
“Thanks High Fives Foundation for getting me out on the snow again! Little by little figuring this thing out.”
High Five the Hill Steamboat continues to be a powerful reminder that access to sport is about more than time on snow—it’s about belonging, momentum, and building confidence that carries far beyond the mountain.
High Five!
