Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County & North Lake Tahoe makes a positive difference in the lives of children and youth in the Tahoe area through a one-to-one relationship. Adults offer support to children’s growth and development through nurturing relationships, which has shown to lead to improved self-confidence, school performance, behaviors, and relationships with family, peers and other adults.
All of their funding is raised through private and corporate donations, special events and grants. Specifically, 37% of their funding comes from fundraising events like the annual Beach Bowl for Kids Sake, Catch the Mentoring Wave, happening this Saturday!
Join the High Fives team and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County & North Lake Tahoe for the signature Bowl For Kids’ Sake event, this year with the theme: Beach Bowl! This is a bowl-a-thon and party to benefit at-risk children in our community.
