They ignite change. They support transformative leadership and courageous storytelling, inspiring action toward a peaceful, just, sustainable future.
Established in 1946, Compton Foundation fosters positive and sustainable models of change. They are a family foundation based in the U.S. and working with a global perspective. To accomplish their mission they provide financial resources to galvanize the movement for progressive and democratic social change, and on August 12, 2014, their grantmaking totaled almost $2.3 Million.
Recently Compton Foundation approved a grant of $5,000 to the High Fives Foundation. Thank you Compton Foundation.
What they fund?
They support organizations building the long-term capacity to ignite change as well as providing rapid response and emerging opportunity funding. They value projects that explore the connections between issue areas. Change requires both long-term movement building and the ability to respond quickly to opportunistic moments when transformation and/or real short-term gains are possible.
