Quarles spent 21 years in the military. In that time he said he was shot, stabbed, and even survived a vehicle explosion. The blast left him with a broken neck, broken back, and required countless surgeries. However, he said he won’t let the pain stop him. Gregory plans to use the grant funding to help fix his recumbent bike with new drive train components and hopefully be able to get a racing wheelchair to continue to be able to compete in adaptive sports!

“One door may be closed in your face, but it allows for a plethora of new doors to open.”
