We kicked off our winter season in philanthropic style at this year’s Warren Miller film premiere, benefiting High Fives NonProfit Foundation…and thanks to you, “Winter Starts Now”!
We sure did miss our ski and snowboard community! The vendor village allowed us all to take a look at this season’s newest Moment skis, chat with local resorts, and support #HighFivesAthletes with our winter merch and raffle tickets.
Some of you sat in a sit-ski to learn how many of our adaptive athletes shred all winter long. You embraced our stories and showed your support, cheering and spreading high fives, and we are so grateful for your support!
The energy in the room was most palpable when leg amputee duo, Vasu Sojitra and Pete McAfee, completed the first-ever disabled ski descent of Denali. In High Fives fashion, your cheers roared for their accomplishments with a clear display of passion for #Accessibility and excitement for a shift in the perception of outdoor sports and inclusion. High Five to that!
Thank you so much for your commitment to the High Fives mission!
Don’t forget to get your skis tuned at BOBOS and join us for the Mothership Classic Ski-A-Thon on March 27, 2022 at Palisades Tahoe. Be sure to follow @Hi5sfoundation on your social channels to keep up with our latest and greatest events and activities!
