Andre Barbieri
Andre was injured during a leisure snowboarding trip with his brother at Mammoth Mountain when he hit a patch of ice on a black run and lost control. He collided witha fence separating the trail from off-trail terrain, sustaining a severe femur fracture. Complications from the injury led to an above-the-knee amputation five days later.
“Sometimes it looks easy or people make it look easy, but don't believe in all appearances... Just trust yourself and keep working, put your head down and just aspire to be the best version of yourself you can be. Results will follow.”
