On May 17, 2020 Brandon sustained a complete T9-T10 spinal cord injury while riding his dirtbike in Dacono, Colorado. Brandon and his friends were riding for fun at his favorite track when he launched off a corner just after a jump, landing in a folded position. He has no memory of the accident and only regained consciousness in the hospital three days later.
