Jordan was flying with her father in a helicopter. During the flight a part failure caused a temporary engine outage, and the helicopter crashed while flying low. Jordan’s father died on impact. Rescuers located Jordan the following morning, 16 hours later, in a hypothermic state after the 20 degree overnight temperatures, with a spinal cord injury and several other injuries.
