Each year, the Carson Burlington Memorial Fund (Team Carson) donates an adaptive sit-ski to one deserving #HighFivesAthlete, and this year, we are excited to announce Chris Collins as the 2024 recipient! Chris was awarded full funding for a Hydra Monoski, a total of $9,545, courtesy of the Burlington Family Fund.
“Our family is honored to be part of the High Fives grant program to provide a High Five’s athlete with adaptive equipment in memory of our son Carson. This year our family chose Chris Collins due to his passion for adventure on the snow, which captures the essence of Carson’s spirit. I know Carson would have loved to “shred the gnar” with Chris.”
— Price Burlington, Carson’s father
“My goal is to stay healthy and live a long life. To meet that goal, I need to stay in active sports that allow me to get my body moving and challenge my ability to the next level.”
— Chris Collins
Team Carson continues to honor the memory of Carson Burlington, who tragically passed away in 2017, by empowering athletes like Chris. Carson’s love for adventure lives on through this annual grant, which has supported previous athletes such as Adam Volpe, Olivia Tonti, Wufky Crosby, Mike Pingatore, Quinn Brett, and Jasmin Bambur.
