Kendra LaCroix
Kendra’s life changed at 14 during a hunting and camping trip when a four-wheeler she was riding experienced brake failure. While attempting to make a turn, the vehicle rolled and pinned her, leaving her with two broken vertebrae and a completely dislocated spinal cord. Since the accident, Kendra has spent the past ten years navigating life in a wheelchair while working hard to maintain her independence with very little assistance. She is now seeking support that will help make daily life easier and allow her to continue living as independently as possible.

High Fives has provided:
GC1 2026 funding towards off-road adaptive equipment
“Getting this grant will help me get my first piece of adaptive equipment and help alleviate the feeling of being claustrophoic in my own body by allowing me to get out of the house with my dogs and take them to do more without the fear of feeling like a burden on others for needing extra help or scared I'm going to get stuck or damage my daily chair.“
