Kai Mukai
Kai was injured in September 2017 while riding motocross at Glen Helen Raceway in California. At the time, he was a professional motocross racer and had been libing in California for approximately six years when he suffered a serious crash that resulted in a T3-T7 spinal cord injury, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. Since his injury, he has worked hard to adapt, regain his independence, and continue pursuing the activities and sports he loves.

GC2 2026 Grant funding for Freedom Trax
“This grant will help me become more independent and active by giving me access to rough outdoor terrain that is difficult to navigate in my wheelchair. A Freedom Trax will allow me to train and compete in archery while also enjoying activities like fishing and hunting, helping me work torward my goal of competing in the 2028 Paralympic Games and proving that my injury does not have to limit what I can accomplish.“
