Curtis Rowe
Curtis sustained a traumatic brain injury during his military service in Afghanistan and Iraq after multiple exposures to blasts. Years later, he was injured in a motorcycle accident when a driver ran a red light and struck him, severely damaging his right leg. After three years of attempting limb salvage, he ultimately chose to undergo an amputation, allowing him to pursue greater mobility and be more involved in his role as a father.
“Where the mind goes, the body follows.”
High Fives has provided:
GC2 2026 Grant funding for recumbent trike
“This grant will give me the opportunity to learn and master a new sport that I otherwise could not afford. It will also allow me to create new experiences with my daughter while showing her the importance of resilience, getting back up, and choosing how we move forward in life.“
