High Fives Community Bike Day Hits the Trails at Sawtooth
September 17, 2026 | Sawtooth Trailhead | Truckee, California
4 Adaptive Athletes. One Incredible Day on the Trails.
Four adaptive athletes hit the dirt on September 17 for a High Fives Foundation Community Bike Day at the Sawtooth Trailhead, located off Forest Road 06 in Truckee, California.
Surrounded by the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains, athletes came together for a day of adaptive mountain biking, fresh air, and community connection. With rugged terrain, winding singletrack, and plenty of opportunities for adventure, Sawtooth provided an incredible setting to enjoy the freedom of two wheels.
High Fives Community Bike Days are about more than riding bikes. They’re about creating opportunities for adaptive athletes to get outside, build confidence, explore new trails, and connect with others who share a passion for adventure.
Whether it’s discovering new terrain, building skills, or simply enjoying time on the trails with friends, every ride is another reminder of what’s possible.
Four athletes, endless stoke, and another great day in the dirt!
Through its adaptive bike programming, the High Fives Foundation continues to expand access to outdoor recreation and create opportunities for athletes with life-changing injuries to experience the freedom, independence, and community that come with mountain biking.
