A Growing Partnership With Truckee-Tahoe Lumber Co.

I grew up with CR and the Johnson Family, and they were a large part of my childhood. Anytime that I am able to help spread the mission of High Fives and carry on the legacy of my good friend CR through donating to the Healing Center I am honored.

Owners of Truckee-Tahoe Lumber Co. in Truckee, brothers Andrew and Ira Cross, have been huge supporters of the High Fives Foundation since the organization’s inception in 2009. Growing up in Truckee and understanding the adherent dangers associated with participating in winter sports, the Cross brothers are firm believers in the High Fives Foundation mission.

We are proud to partner with TTLCO and have the support of Andrew Cross as a High Fives Board member since 2019.

Along with attending as many High Fives Foundation fundraising events as their busy schedules will allow, Andrew and Ira have graciously donated wood and hardware over the last few years, helping shape the CR Johnson Healing Center into a training ground for community members and High Fives athletes.

In June 2013, Truckee-Tahoe Lumber Co. donated wood, door hardware and merchandise display materials to create a storage and mailing unit.

With the rapid growth of the High Fives Foundation, more storage and a permanent mailing space was necessary to meet demands.

In 2017, TTLCo donated wood, door hardware and an impressive barn door.

Most recently, TTLCo helped expand the center’s office area to allow for an open work space for the 9 staff members.

We have delayed the 2020 CRJ Grand Opening, stay tuned!
