Access Unlimited | Reno Fly Fish Days Recap

Date: June 24, 2026
Location: Truckee River, California
Athletes: 4

The High Fives Foundation’s Access Unlimited program creates opportunities for athletes to connect with the outdoors, build confidence, and experience the healing power of nature. On June 24, four athletes spent the day fly fishing along the Truckee River, enjoying great fishing, meaningful conversations, and an unforgettable day on the water.

The group celebrated a successful day with everyone landing fish, creating moments of excitement and accomplishment throughout the trip. Midday, everyone gathered beneath the shade of a riverside tree to share lunch, stories, and plenty of laughter.

With the support and knowledge of dedicated volunteer guides, the experience became about much more than fishing. While the catches were memorable, the connections made on the river were what stood out most.

Days like these are what Access Unlimited is all about—bringing people together through outdoor adventure, creating lasting friendships, and proving that some of the best moments happen long after the line hits the water.
