VIDEO: PARALYZED PADDLER SETS NEW RECORD
YOUR DAILY DOSE OF INSPIRATION
Grant Korgan is an inspiration to us all. After a spinal cord injury in 2010, Korgan did not let his injury define him, instead, his road to recovery took him to a world record. Korgan snapped the record for the human powered circumnavigation of Lake Tahoe by over two hours, finishing the 72 miles in just 14 hours and 15 minutes. In addition to this personal accomplishment, Korgan raised $25,000 for the High Fives Foundation, a non-profit that helps the lives of athletes affected by life-altering injuries. “We as a people are not defined in life by what happens to us,” Korgan explains as we witness him paddle through day and night in search of his goal, “we’re defined by how we deal with it.”
