The reigning J2 National Champion, Jake was injured on December 22, 2011 at Steamboat Springs, CO at the US National Team Selections, when he caught an edge before one of the jumps. When he was taken to the hospital and found out that he was temporarily paralyzed from the T8 level down, he used it as motivation to work harder than ever. Jake’s US Ski Team dreams were within grasp, and he plans on working his way back to that level, and with his work ethic the sky is the limit.
