Alex Benedetto
On July 20, 2014, Alex sustained a C6-C7 spinaal cord injury while vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland, after diving into shallow water and striking the back of his head. They underwent surgery and inpatient rehabilitation.

“Over the past decade, I've used adaptive sports to stay active and maintain independece, but a busy work schedule has limited participation. This grant would all me to purchase a hand cycle and pursue a more active, competitive lifestyle.“
