In December Alex was skiing at Squaw Valley in flat light when he came over a knoll near Gold Coast Express and fell about eight feet into a stream bed. Alex instantly knew he both ankles were broken but did not know the true extent of his injuries. Alex suffered lower extremity injuries that left him in a wheelchair for 6-months.
