Beth Requist
Beth was rafting the Colorado River and stopped to jump off some rocks. When she jumped off a 45-foot rock, she hit the water wrong. The landing caused a burst fracture of Beth’s T-11 vertebrae causing instant paralysis from the waist down.
Beth’s continued goals are to stay active in the community by downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and mountain biking and to stay strong overall. Sports help to take her mind off her pain, feel independent and get out with friends!’
